The Landmark Apartment Building is an unusual adaptive reuse that transformed a junior high school into residential apartment units. The classrooms around the perimeter of the building became living units, and the core of the structure, which originally consisted of an auditorium above a gymnasium, was removed to create a sky-lighted, multi-story atrium space filled with plants, seating, walkways, and water features. Hammer Design was responsible for the design of all elements within the atrium.
